President Obama: Insert Foot In Mouth

"So this guy I know is a real downer..."  Ever talk about someone like that?  Every time they open their mouth you kind of ask to yourself, "Oh boy, now what?"

I think President Obama is that kind of guy.  He can't help himself from using sensationalistically fatalistic language when talking about the economy.  It's like, "Okay dude, we get the picture - banks are hurting, people are hurting..."

It's like the local news at 10pm - "We've got bad news. More bad news.  Extremely bad news - oh and now the weather. Okay more bad news.  Now sports. And more bad news at 11..." - only with Pres. Obama, it's like local news on steroids, namely because he's the president and anything he says is magnified.

I speak to more people who increasingly say, "Man, that guy (President Obama) won't shut up about talking down the economy."

Conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, got flack for saying they don't want him to succeed.  Well it's kind of like the president doesn't want the US economy to succeed.

Here's a hint Pres....try not to insert foot in mouth - keep it shut for a few days.  Talk about the flowers on the East Lawn or something.  Give out some more DVD's or something.  Watch a happy movie.  Chill...

So think DVD's are a tacky gift coming from one head of state to another? No argument with you on his talking down the economy. No doubt, some politican will start taking credit tomorrow for the mini-rally today.

I think he is in way over his head.  Too many people gave him a free pass on his way to the presidency.  I hope he doesn't make it worse.

I feel sorry for him. He is in way over his head and I don't think that he understands what a mess our country is in or how to get us out of this mess. He is one of those people who talked a good game but is not bringing any results.

I don't feel sorry for him.  Why? - Because he's not listening to people.  Warren Buffet - pretty smart guy - right?  Okay - he supported Obama big time.  Now he's scratching his head and saying "Wait a minute!"

Don't think Buffet saw Obama talking Cap and Trade all over again.

A good leader has to LISTEN TO PEOPLE.  Obama can't seem to see the big picture.  Yes you're President, but that also means you've got to listen to people - outside of those you owe favors to!

I still feel sorry for him, because he is in over his head. But I am more concerned about what will happen to this country and to all of US, if he fails. Whether we like him or not, he's the president, and he is a president that is in a heck of a mess. Just think he has only been in office a very short time and people are already scratching their heads and wondering what's wrong, what is it going to be like a year from now, and what is yet to come in the next 4 years of his term. Sobering ....................

Sandy - he's a democrat - and they tend to be very "hands on" - they feel compelled to "Fix" everything and solve everyone's problems.  That's when they get in the way of everything.

Obama's problem is he can't shut up.

Deep down - i think he's really just trying to cram everything in right off the bat because this is a "crisis" time and there's no time to jump on things like during a crisis - while our heads are turned one way - he's signing his 12th executive order!!!!!!!

This is nuts.

I don't feel sorry for him - i think he knows exactly what he's doing...and that's scary.

Oh yeah - I DIDN'T vote for him.

Our president is extremely well educated and has surrounded himself with every expert you could ever want working for you and your economy. The last administration showed us how "do nothing" and "Know nothing" politics just won't work. We have been pushed off a cliff. Now it is time for hard talk and no one wants to hear they need to stop buying iPods, SUV's and all that other stuff that makes this country great....

if his "experts" are so great, how come Obama gave DVD's to the Prime Minister or worse...bowed to the Saudi leader?

LOL.

No one's saying he's not "educated", but being "educated" and being a good leader - HAVE NEARLY NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER.  You can have all the education in the world and still not be a good leader - whether it's for a regular job, a business or being president of the united states.

good day.
